C19 Enhancing Foreign Language Skills by Learning about Oneself, the Other and the World in Another Language

- Ways of using drama in order to learn about countries and cultures as well as to engage with the language in various ways and on different levels
- Ways of approaching a topic, e.g. »Growing up« or »Sustainability«, from different perspectives and developing one’s own voice through creative tasks
- Developing language skills, the power of judgement and independent learning skills through sensible feedback and assessment for learning
C22 Opening New Horizons: Developing a Waldorf 12th Grade English Curriculum

In this seminar we will explore different literature, themes and methods which could be appropriate for teaching English as a foreign language in 12th grade.
The focus will be on 20th and 21st century short stories and poetry along with relevant aspects regarding digitalization and globalization.
